NU Teams Training at MCS
At MCS we believe in supporting the next generation of engineers and helping them to develop the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in their careers. That's why we were thrilled to host 11 students from the University of Newcastle's NU Teams program for an all-day training session at our Medowie office.
NU Teams is a student-run organisation that allows engineering students to put their skills to the test by designing and building a range of projects, including electric race cars, high powered rockets, and autonomous vehicles for land, air, & sea. As part of our ongoing relationship and sponsorship arrangements with the program, we wanted to help the students develop project management tools that would enable them to plan and execute their projects more effectively.
The training session was a great success, with the students and their supervisor learning a range of new techniques and strategies for managing their projects. We covered everything from project planning and scheduling to risk management and team communication, and the students were engaged and enthusiastic throughout the day.
We were thrilled to see the students' passion for engineering and their commitment to developing their skills. It was a fantastic opportunity for us to give back to the engineering community and to help shape the next generation of engineers.
