NUWiE Cocktail Connections

For the last 18 months, MCS has had the pleasure of working with Newcastle University Women in Engineering (NUWiE), a student-run organisation that promotes diversity and gender equality in the field of engineering. Our collaboration has been focused on supporting NUWiE's mission by providing mentorship, career advice, and employment opportunities to its members.

This week, we had the opportunity to participate in the NUWiE Cocktail Connections 2022 event, where we had the chance to meet with some of the brightest and most enthusiastic engineering students in the region. We discussed industry roles, career paths, and potential employment opportunities, and it was a great opportunity for us to connect with the next generation of engineers.

The student’s passion and desire to make a difference in their chosen fields was fantastic to hear and aligned well to our MCS vision to make an outstanding difference in all things we do for employees, clients, community, and the environment.

At MCS, we believe that partnerships like this are essential for building a brighter future for the engineering industry. By working together with organisations like NUWiE, we can help to bridge the gap between the classroom and the workplace and provide students with the support and guidance they need to succeed in their careers.
